Meditation: It's not what you think!
Mindfulness awareness meditation is a scientifically validated set of practices that cultivate calmness, clarity and compassion. With regular practice, meditation can enhance our mental capacity and psychological resilience. Just as physical exercise keeps our bodies healthy, meditation practice strengthens and balances the functions of the mind while supporting overall health and well-being.
In recent years, mindfulness meditation has become very 'popular' in Western culture, mainly because of its benefits and the simplicity of its practice. However, this has led to many misconceptions about both the approach and the technique. This workshop is an excellent opportunity to be introduced to the authentic art and practice of meditation in a simple, clear and step-by-step way and, most importantly, to have the guidance and support to practice and reflect on your own meditation experience.

By the end of the workshop, you will have gained knowledge and experiential understanding in the following topics:

The workshop is highly experiential and the teaching approach includes a short presentation and explanation of basic concepts and techniques, guided practice and reflection in different types of meditation and time for questions.
