Introduction to Mindfulness

An introductory 2-day workshop with the aim to provide a better understanding of the concept, science, benefits and skills of mindfulness and familiarizing with practices for integrating mindfulness into your everyday life. It’s an ideal opportunity to discover through your own experience why so many people around the world are embracing this simple, yet effective, way to bring calmness, emotional balance and mental clarity into their lives while experiencing a sense of empowerment and wellbeing.

The workshop combines a balanced didactic and experiential learning approach including didactic input, guided practice, reflection, practical tips and group discussion. No prior mindfulness experience or scientific knowledge required.

Upon completion of the workshop you will have gained knowledge and experiential understanding of the following:
  • Origins, concept and attitudinal skills of mindfulness

  • Neuroscience, benefits and applications of mindfulness

  • Core practices and techniques for developing mindfulness

  • Tips for bringing mindfulness and meditation into your life

Who is this workshop for?

The workshop is introductory, suitable for beginners as well as for those who have some experience in mindfulness and wish to understand it better or enrich their knowledge and practice in a friendly community learning environment. In addition to the personal benefits, the workshop provides useful experience for mental health professionals and is a good basis for deciding whether to continue on to one of the comprehensive programs provided by Mindfulness 360.
